Is our Future Written?

Some people say, that our future is written a long time before we are born - they say, that this is our destiny; this is what we are meant to be and we cannot change it. But in the other-hand, other people say that we and no-one else decides our own fate, even if it is written. But what's the truth? What is the answer to our future? Can our lives really be just an act on the stage, where we follow these written chapters from one to twelve? And if it is, then for whom we are performing; whom are we trying to please when it seems that no-one is watching?

From my perspective of view, the stage we're on is mostly empty; the seats aren't taken and sometimes we're just like puppets trapped in the cage with no audience to applause our own act. I believe for instance that only a few things are written into our destiny, and yet we decide whether or not to follow it - it's only the end of us which is truly true: We decide, how the end will come; will we be loved or hated; rich or poor; destroyers or saviors. We are the sacred blacksmiths of our own fate; and yet, maybe, sometimes - it isn't for us to decide, maybe we have higher purposes in our life, maybe not. But we'll never truly know, because our lives take many turns, and some of them lead us where our journey began - and if there was higher destiny for us, we may have corrupted it.

I'd like to think that our lives are like coins with three sides; to follow our destiny or make our own fate, and also the last side of the coin which would be our free will. To decide, whether the hell or paradise; whether to die or live. The third side of the coin is really a choice, not some written destiny nor fate. It's something we craft, something we make - it's our own act...
